Logos Galour!

The 4 main critiques for Logos are as followed: follow solid basic design principles, be functional, represent the company, and be unique.

I choose the Fire Fox logo because it is a unipue because it is a fox with a tail that looks like fire and it is wrapped around a globe representing that it is used globally.

Indian Design Inspirations

Using 3 different Native American Designs, I have created a design of my own.

I chose this one (to the right) because I thought that it looked like a Sun and a Flower combined.

I chose this one (to the left) because I thought that the design                                            was cool,  other than that, I don't know why.

I chose this one (to the right) because I that it looked like a water droplet
combined with some flowers and some rings.

Birth of Civilisation

This is a bone comb, believed to be from the stone ages.
This bone comb was found on the Island of Gotland, Sweden during the Birth of Civilisation. I like this photograph because it proves that even people from around the year 3000 BC had the decency to comb their hair. You can tell just by looking that this is made of a hard rock or bone like substance. Notice how the left side of the comb looks like a horse's head and how the right side of the comb looks like a person's head. Notice how the "brisles" look like a real comb and also notice that there appears to be a crack on the comb. It's color and value of shade shows that this isn't a painting but a real discovered piece of and/ or history. Chalky of rocky or boney white with the the light on it you can identify that this is a picture of the real deal.

Push Pin Art

Push Pin Art is another type of art that was recently discovered. It's kind of like Chuck Close's art work. You'd have a photograph of a model and it would be pixelated so you can see which colors are where. Then you take a spread sheet and multi-color bullet-point pens or markers and mark each individual piece where a pushpin goes.

Chuck Close Painting: Lucas

Chuck Close Paintings are started with photographs of his models. Then he quadruples the size of the picture and recreates that image using squares and sorts of shapes.
